On March 23, Alpro OptiSaver proudly joined the Donghua Elementary School Charity Sale at SJK(C) Tung Hua S2 Heights, taking another meaningful step in our mission to champion early eye care intervention for children.
With a cheerful atmosphere and an important message at heart, the event centered around one crucial cause: protecting young vision before it impacts learning, development, or confidence.

Why Children’s Eye Health Can’t Wait
Many childhood vision issues often go unnoticed until they start affecting academic performance or behavior. Our free vision screenings offered parents a fast and accessible way to detect common yet serious issues, including:
- 👀 Double vision or cross-eyed (斜视)
- 💤 Lazy eye (amblyopia)
- 🔍 Astigmatism and other refractive errors
Each screening took just five minutes, but the impact could last a lifetime—providing early warnings for conditions that, if untreated, can become permanent.
Did You Know?
- Over 60% of childhood vision issues can’t be fully corrected in adulthood if left untreated early.
- Delaying treatment by just one month can reduce effectiveness by up to 5%.
- Vision problems are often misdiagnosed as learning disabilities in school-aged children.

Reaching Families Where It Matters Most
This initiative wasn’t just about medical screenings — it was about education, empowerment, and emotional support. By collaborating with schools and community-driven events like the Donghua Charity Sale, we’re building bridges between professional care and practical, everyday solutions.
Toward a Clearer Tomorrow
At Alpro OptiSaver, our CSR mission is to ensure every child gets a fair chance to see the world clearly, and no family is left behind due to lack of access or awareness. Together, let’s safeguard young vision — one screening, one family, and one future at a time.
